Editorial Photography

Boone Morrison has undertaken a wide range of commercial assignments ranging from architectural documentation, magazine assignments, coverage of Hawaii's active volcanoes, to newspaper reportage for the Honolulu Advertiser. He has worked as a contract photographer for National Geographic, and had material included in Time, Life, Paris Match, Der Stern, Discover, and Islands magazines.

He was named Associated Press Photographer of the Year for his coverage of the 1986 eruption of Mauna Loa Volcano. That material was seen as 11 international magazine covers, and on the front page of more than 350 newspapers world-wide.

He is represented by the Gamma-Liason agency, in New York and Paris.

Boone Morrison is equipped to work with camera formats from 4 x 5 through 35mm, with extensive optics and accessories capable of handling a wide range of assignments, including low level helecopter aerial work. His intimate knowledge of Hawaii and long-time local contacts offer photographic opportunities not normally available.
